Creativity at its Finest

Christine Mason Miller just recently finished these pieces which she has called "May Sarton." Check out the rest of her breathless creations here. What I love the most about these pieces is the fact that they are in the shape of a woman and come alive baring the aspects of the feminine mind and soul. The egg comfortably tucked within her bosom may represent the dreams, ideas, and passion, that if we nurture to it's birth, will be something wonderful. The flower that blooms around the egg and the nest reminds me of a favorite quote of mine by Anais Nin:
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful
than the risk it took to blossom."
But these are just my thoughts and interpretation. I'd be curious to know what Christine had in mind during this creation...?

Very creative, but also so inspiring. I like the meaning behind the art.

Those were beautiful and I am inspired. It amazes me what people come up with sometimes. I too like the egg on the nest tucked inside the bosom and also your interpretation of what that means. I like the flower around it as well. I wish I could read all of the quote on the other one though. I couldn't make out a few of the words.

Take care sis!

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
