Day 1--Said Goodbye to a Soldier

God bless our soldiers! Last night, we said goodbye to Nate's brother, Jon. He is on his way to the Afghanistan and Iraq again, and I believe this is his third deployment. He was recently married in December, so he is leaving his wife, Stefania, behind. We feel very sad that they have to the better part of their first year of marriage apart. Brooklynn and Asher love their Uncle Jon SO much and it will be close to a year before they see him again, and we are very sad about this. But we are very grateful for Jon's dutiful service in the military and we will be thinking of him often. We love you, Jon!

So hard. We will be thinking about and praying for Jon and the whole family.

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
