Day 13--Silver Falls on Mother's Day

Not only does something come if you wait, but it pours over you like a waterfall, like a tidal wave. You wait in all naturalness without expectation or hope, emptied, translusent, and that which comes rocks and topples you; it will shear, loose, launch, winnow, grind.

Mother's Day was special. Nate put aside the work he had planned on completing yesterday to take the kids and I to Silver Falls, just outside of Salem, OR. It's such a gorgeous place. There are multiple falls to visit and large spans of space to sprawl out over and enjoy. The kids had fun playing with their balls, and Brooklynn practiced riding her new bike with Dad. It was a fabulous day spent relaxing in the sun and appreciating this beautiful place we call home.

Gorgeous waterfall. I've never been there, I don't think! Love your curly hair and your beautiful family!

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
