Hello Monday!

Good Monday Afternoon!

There is nothing like a great workout and some sunshine to give the first of the week a boost! The rays are reminding me that Spring and Summer are just around the corner. I even spent a few moments today pretending with my sunglasses on, that it was summertime. Oh, how the thought brightened my spirit!

This last weekend I spent with the kiddos. Husband was at the beach helping his Dad out, so the kids and I relaxed at home and did a whole lot of nothing. Saturday we did a little shopping down near the Portland airport where I purchased my new Solo Vintage Bucket Laptop tote. Now, I wont get looks of fear from Husband when I walk out the door with my laptop under my arm. In the evening, I ordered some Thai takeout and the kids and I danced around to Taylor Swift (Brooklynn's favorite).

Sunday it was to church and a day without any Superbowl festivities. Nope. I didn't even find out who won until late last night. I know, I am really not with it. It's not that I dislike the sport, it's just that you wont catch me watching it without Husband. He is the reason for my involvement in the season. But I will say, my sis, Tammy threw quite the party in Missoula. Had I been in her neck of the woods, I would have celebrated all day! See how this works?

At church on Sunday, I worked in the nursery with Asher's class and nine other little ones. It was fun watching them toddle around, play with toys, and hardly interact with one another. It reminded me of the days that I used to co-teach a class of twenty 3-6 year-olds, and boy do I get exhausted even thinking about those tiresome work weeks--oh, maybe it was because I was pregnant, too. Now I am ready for a nap!

What did you do this weekend? Anything fun?

A declaration of love

Sunday, I woke up to this lovely gem posted by Wish Studio. It put a lump in my throat, and has ever since had me thinking and writing about motherhood and all that has changed because of the two sweet-spirits in my life.

I'd like to share some of what I've written, but it seems there is too much to say for me to call it complete. For now, enjoy this declaration of love.

In the spirit of love (and pink and red of course),

~cbm

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
