The winner of the Maya Angelou book is...

Keri

She said,

I have many lights in my life. It's hard to choose just one. I also have MANY favorite quotes, but here are a couple from Maya Angelou that I love. I bet she was amazing to see in person!

"Self-pity in its early stages is as snug as a feather mattress. Only when it hardens does it become uncomfortable."

"I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass."

So... when I get too busy I have to set aside my blog reading and focus on the tasks at hand... and I missed these posts. I love Maya Angelou, and often read her work to my girls...we have several books. When she sings, and speaks it is like being wrapped in a warm blanket..What a wonderful night for you, one of those memory nights!

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
