Reader Love/Giveaway 3!

Welcome back!

I've finally finished round one of my

Fall line
of book marks.

This series of book marks has been the most fun for me.
It's most likely because I am fall.
I was born in the fall--September
Started my blog in the fall-October
Married in the fall-November
I love sweaters in the fall,
scarves, boots, hot drinks, pumpkin spice treats,
and walks on cool, crisp, fall days.

I heart the fall.  Big time.

It is the best time of year, wouldn't you agree?

While visiting my sis in Montana last month, we went bead hunting.  After coaxing my sister's husband into watching six children (including my two) we made our way into the city to explore the bead shop of downtown Missoula.  My sis, Tammy is quite the shopper, and she has one keen eye.  She helped me swoop up some lovely pieces.  Let's just say I spent a nice chunk of change on some fall-esque beads and charms, and didn't regret a penny spent.  How could I?  During our shopping hunt and upon return home, we got quite the kick out of talking about my "Fall line."  Either this is quite funny to you, too, or it's a Davis thing.  Must be a Davis thing.
I can't believe I'm writing about this.

We also laughed quite a bit that day when my brother-in-law called my two-year-old a "human recking ball."
I, obviously, received this statement in the form of a compliment.
He ain't easy.
Go here for more evidence.
I felt understood!
Someone felt my pain!
(Husband does too, but he's Husband, and his type doesn't always realize the reality.)
I'll tell you more about yesterday morning when I woke up to the fumes of hot pink nail polish on my bedsheets and slathered all over Asher's toes, which somehow managed up his neck and in his hair--another time.
I'm still working through that one.

Now for the GIVEAWAY!!

But first, I'd like to say thank you!
I love exchanging with my readers and getting to know you better.
Thanks for helping me celebrate three years of blogging!
You truly make my blogging experience worth while.

I love this book mark.
I love the filigree, the crushed chocolate ribbon, the unique antiqued copper clamps,
and the gold brushed teal leaf.
It will make you sigh each time you close your book.

And about Fall . . . well, it's the gorgeous colors the leaves take on. And the yummy food. The cozy feeling returns as we all snuggle up in our blankets and robes. And of course, the change of wardrobe to freshen things up from Summer. I'm a lover of Fall, too.

Thanks for the giveaway miss cassie!

I LOVE Fall... my favorite things.. the leaves changing colour, pumpkins in a field, the golden glow of the sun on the trees at the end of the day... the smell of freshly picked apples...

We have already had our first snow storm so it feels more like winter outside.

However, inside it is all warm with the woodstove burning. The house is decorated with pumpkins and I plan to watch a scary movie while I sew on my latest quilt.

Yahoo,I love Fall too!

P.S. I adore that new bookmark...it actually took my breathe away.

Will you be listing more bookmarks soon? There is one listed that I want but I wanted to get a couple more, maybe.

P.S. I can't stop singing Jack Johnson's "Fall Line" since I read your post. ;0)

"It must be a Davis thing"--that's when I LOL. Yes, we Davis women have several things, don't we? And we are easily amused with ourselves and each other. Yes, you are a fall person, definitely! Love you!

Oh, and I loved the part about Rick called Asher a human wrecking ball. Good analogy!

Tess October 8, 2010 at 2:58 PM

Erin October 11, 2010 at 9:21 PM

Gotta get me one of those original Cassie McCully "between the lines" bookmarks for sure!

I am a follower! :)

And the fall...........oh how I love the fall. When the humid air of summers heat turns cool, blustery, and crisp. When the pumpkin vines rot away leaving perfect pumpkins ripe, ready, and waiting. When the warmth and smells coming from the oven change the mood over the entire house. When the thankfulness from hearts and the gathering of friends begin. That is when I appreciate fall the most!

I am a follower! :) and my favorite thing about fall is the way the chilly air feels, the colors and getting to wear my favorite sweaters :0

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
