wherein I divulge the sad truth

The fall weather has finally began to settle in on this quiet little town of Camas.  The rain outside the window is soothing, yet the matter of business I am here to discuss, is quite displeasurable.

I really don't even want to go here, but must.

Remember that Summer Wish List--
the great list of inspiring to-dos that were to fill my summer with heavenly moments and intentional pleasure?  Well, only two of the fifteen have been checked off the list.
They were berry picking and homemade ice cream, and they were accomplished on the same day!

Horribly lousy, I know.

Because I don't like unfinished business,
I've decided to clean-up the list and re-focus my intentional living skills.
I'll be adding some new things and be giving them no particular deadline.
They'll just be on the list waiting to be crossed off and be filed under
intentional~pleasure living.

So what's new on the list you ask?

A Seattle Adventure {coming soon}.
Learn to play and sing our song on the guitar.
Try out yoga {again} for the sake of what feels like my 52 year old back.
Get a piece of writing published.
Track down the teacher who changed my life, meet with her, and give her a ginormous thank you
{she may be in another state, but it must be done}.
Go target shooting.
And finally,
Go big for our five year wedding anniversary happening this month.

Actually, quite a few of these things are happening this month.

Here's to turning over a new leaf in November!

Happy November 1st!

Great post!! I'd love to hear more about that teacher... Is it your writing professor who introduced you to Annie Dillard or someone else?? Love the list!

Yes, unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way of our dreams, but that's okay. I, too, am looking forward to your finding your UVSC English teacher. You'll have to let us know how that journey goes.

It's kinda humbling when you realize you can't always fit it all in. Sometimes I feel like I am going through a maze trying to figure it all out. But life sure is exciting when you can look forward to doing things you enjoy and desire. I am always inspired by your wish list. I need to make one - - I keep saying I am, but I just never get to it. :)

Pretty Little Things & Hearthandmade: I'd love to see what's on your lists!

Shan-you are correct. More on her soon...:)

Connie-I'm hoping it'll work out to see her in a few weeks!

Britt-You are so kind, and yes, the lack of crossing off is humbling. Sometimes I wonder wh God gave me so much passion! But I'll take it over the contrary happily!

Can't wait to see how it all plays out. It's all about the journey, isn't it? I forget that sometimes... Good luck with making it all happen!

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
