Love, Lavendar and Icecream

I hope all you mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Mine was my best Mother's Day, yet!  I got lots of love and the kids really went to town for my celebration!  Brooklynn created a "Mother Head Hunt" game for us to play which had us finding paper heads scattered about the house.  I found one in the fridge and in the freezer the night prior to the festivities, but pretended to be unphased by their location.  When it came time to play, we hurried around, excited as could be, for our girl was off to the races finding her own hidden pictures.

Then, with the leftover cake from Brooklynn's birthday, Husband lit Brooklynn's requested five candles and the family sang me Happy Mother's Day to You, and Brooklynn blew the candles out.  Then we topped off the kids' excitement with the hugest piece of cake and scoop of ice cream, and let them go to town.

This was all before 9:30am.

Later, Husband surprised me with a lavender plant and I am so happy with it.  I love lavender and am thinking of the perfect location to plant this sweet gift.  I only hope I don't need to go and buy about five more!

The rest of the day was spent enjoying each other, a visit with our Mom, a nap and a huge bowl of our new favorite vanilla ice cream.
It was a great day, indeed, and I am still feeling the love today.

Happy Mothers Day! I LOVE lavender ANYTHING. Matter of fact behind my house there's a huge lavender plant growing and the scent of it from my back window is so nice especially on a nice sunny day.

Aw, Brookie is so cute. What a fun idea that was of her to make a little scavenger hunt for you - wth such sweet pictures. Sounds like a great day. And that was super sweet of N to get you some lavendar since you love it so much!

Happy Mother's Day to you sis!

I grow my lavender under my washing line so when the wind blows the washing it grazes over the lavender and comes in smelling all lovely. Yum! X

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
