Fourth of July Weekend

Before: full sun ablaze, happy, clean faces in dire need of a camping trip.

During: Blue skies, scalding sun, Clear Lake, music, guitars, friends & family, fishing a lake with no fish, one tiny tree for shade, deluxe meals prepared by our hosts, s'mores and three male dogs who took turns "liking" each other very much almost the whole trip.

After: farmer tans sunburns, all people, items and dogs covered in dirt, with long naps needed, and one Fourth of July evening coming to a close fairly early due to plenty of tired campers.

Now, that we're not burnt and we've caught up on some zzz's,
I think we're due for another camping trip!

Have a great weekend!

Yes, you are one of my beautiful, gorgeous daughters! It was great seeing pictures of you, your handsome husband and the back of your adorable children. Oh, that's right--Asher's looking at a bug--love it! You look like you were all having a peaceful time with friends and nature.

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
