Things I Learned Over a Good Weekend

Naps are good.
Nutella is dangerous.
My kids aren't afraid to wrangle a baby goat.
Swinging high on a swing set will bring childhood flooding back.
Camas is capable of reaching 90 degrees in the summer!
And Top Burger is a perfect place for dinner when your house is 85 degrees.
Zucchinis can triple their size after one watering.
God wants us to ask large, ask big; go deep, go wide.--Pastor Frank
Wearing my hair in a messy bun all weekend is fun.
There is the most beautiful U-Pick Dahlia farm in the hills not far from our home.

You?  What did you learn over the weekend?

Nutella is very dangerous. But Dhalia farm? What a great idea! Do you think anyone would come over if I marketed a weed farm--U pick?? :)

I'm impressed about the swings. I get so motion sick if I even sit on one now that I'm older. Lol.

Mmmm....Top Burger....

That family is ultimately all you've got.

That my daughter centers me. Brings me ultimate peace and allows me to see a better world.

A good book is hard to put down.

I'm the queen of frappe making.

Oooh.. Awesome pictures.

Top Burger sounds yummy! Going there just epitomizes the lazy days of summer. Miss you and good luck this weekend!

(1) When you plan a pool party with scores of teenagers, even if the rain comes just teach them some Polynesian dancing and after awhile the sun will come out! (2) If tons of kids load into the hot tub, the next day the water level will be super low. (3) Never assume you can get there. Don't forget the GPS system! (4) Missionary farewells always touch my heart. (5) Snow cones will never be as good as shaved ice. (6) My husband is a hard worker -- but then I already knew that! Thanks for asking!

Nutella is SO dangerous. Somehow I always find myself dipping into the jar with a spoon. Over and over.

This weekend I learned that when you cut a recipe in half, you really need to cut ALL the ingredients in half, not just some of them. Whoops!

PS- Thanks for posting my Summer Reading Pledge badges!! :)

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
