Once upon a time, there was a heart-shaped tree...

Months ago, I spotted this chopped tree trunk in the far end of the yard.
Giddy, is just one word that describes the way I felt
when happening upon this natural treasure.
Oh, the many things that I've considered doing with this piece of tree!
Cake platters, wall art, a photo prop for an impromtu photo session...

Love, in the most peculiar of places.

P.S. I'm still trying to figure out how the crayons and hair brush ended up outside,
and in case you were wondering about the pink shoes...that happens every so often.

P.P.S. The murder mystery party was a hit!
Once I get my hands on the pictures, I'll share more about it!

Hi Cassie,

What a beautiful blog. I love the style of your posts. Thank you for supporting our Emmett's Fight cause. Thank you for wanting to write about his story and help us prevent another accident from happening to another child.

My favorite pic is the one of Brooklyn sitting with her legs crossed like a prim and proper little lady. She has a confidence beyond her years. Oh, and I chuckled about the B's pink boots on Asher and knew he admires his big sis.

Yes, I agree with the others--love the heart, the moss, the babies, the braid, the "prim and proper lady" and the pink boots!

Oh my gosh, that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. You definitely need to find a place inside your home for that!

Love love love. Whatever you do with that tree, make sure you always know where it is...i seriously may need to borrow it for a similar photoshoot someday. Those pictures are simply wonderful.

Those are such gorgeous pictures of your children with the log! I don't think there could be a better subject to photograph with it.

Amazing pictures. Darling Asher & those pink boots. Reminds me of Sai when he was little and wore Jeli's boots everywhere, including church. (Good thing Sai's were only white.) Fun memories!

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
