Sleeplessness and Mantra Alterations
It was a long weekend that has us desperately working to fall into "routine" again. I am not sure that this entire household ever adjusted to the time change?? Its been at least two weeks of much interrupted sleep, and it has me quite baffled as I've always considered myself a master sleeper. I'm hoping these are just mishaps--or adjustments to our new home and the spring forward that will settle themselves quickly.
I haven't a whole lot to say today, except that I've gone ahead and changed the words to my mantra. I am allowed this, right? It is mine...and yesterday and today and the days going forward it will still be appropriate and fitting. Seems life has required that I participate in a mini-course on bravery, and as my journal would attest, I have many thoughts and words on the subject. So, when I have more than five minutes, I'll share more. It's the lessons that we pull from our lives that I believe are important to share with one another.

What is YOUR mantra?

Blessings on your day as well!
(We don't have rain either...we have snow)
I love it! The original quote was how I found and fell in love with your blog. I don't know that I have a mantra, but it's probably something like this one. <3
That is a great mantra. Incorporating the kids into your mantra is wonderful because really it is our kids that make us brave. And it is only through us that they can learn to be brave also. I don't know if I have a specific mantra i go to for each day of my life but i know something that has stuck in my head for a long time after having read it in 'Zen and the Art of Happiness' is 'Life doesn't Make Mistakes'. It is this piece of a saying that I took to bed with me many a nights when i wondered why we lost our baby but then had a beautiful baby girl almost a year later. In the end we constantly question the things that haven't turned out for us and instead maybe we should just know that there is a reason for all of it because maybe it isn't really a mistake.
Another 'zen saying' in the book was 'Everything possible happens for the best possible reason' or something like that, I have to look that one up again but I've kept that close to me also.
It is always so nice to hear from you ladies! I didn't have a mantra until this one, and I find it helpful in my life right now.
Loredana-thank you for sharing those words. They are comforting, indeed. Hugs to you. You are one strong, blessed, wise mama. xx
