Looking back: five years of blogging
Today, I'm thinking of this blog, and how it has evolved over the last five years. That's right, five years. Five years of stringing together sentences, chasing moments with a D-SLR, and enough hours of HTML madness to cause a crazy woman to go crayyyy!
But, I dodged crazy, yes. I diverted near-melt-downs, and thoughts of tossing the blog. For a time, posting got sparse and I wondered if I was done, if the story was near its end or if blogging was about to be a thing of my past? But it wasn't the end, and I continue to come back, because the fruit is good. Good people, words, encouragement, inspiration, and the creative life is in abundance.

My very first post. Ever. Exactly five years ago today yesterday. I'm not sure what could be more exciting?
I started the Little Things series and have completed 45 Little Things posts.
That has to be near 1,000 little things!
I opened my Between the Lines Etsy shop and did crazy shows like the Camas Vintage Street Faire and The Country's Largest Christmas Bazaar in Portland, Oregon.
I shared my True Story over at Yes and Yes.
I brought to you lovely things and a heart-shaped tree, and had the subject of 'pretty' socked to me.
I held tight to solitude, and dug into depression and heartache,
while embracing our new country life.
I wrote about Maya Angelou's visit and about
how fist-pumping to "Don't Stop Believing" will change your life.
We had a baby, went on an anniversary hunt, celebrated birthdays with butterflies, superheroes, cowboys, on an Island in Washington, and while wearing primary colors.
