Have you jumped in any puddles lately?
My daughter, Brooklynn is three and a half and has the best kind of advice. The other day while driving, she freely offered,
"Everyone needs to grow up so they can jump in puddles."
The best part about her advice is that most times it is given without relativeness, and is tossed before me as a glimpse into the simple life; a child's outlook on the way things are and possibly the way things should remain.
Here's to a simple weekend full of r & r, some writing, reading, crafting--and maybe some puddle stomping.
How about you?

Sounds fun! Brooklynn is such a sweetheart. I love her. She's just so innocent and free spirited. Hope you guys have a good weekend! I was thinking about you last night. It's been a while since we've got to talk - it seemed like the holidays were so crazy busy that we didn't get to chit chat as much as I would have liked. Let's talk soon. Love ya!
I have the best memories of playing in the puddles in front of my house. Barefoot and rolled up jeans. Then my sister and I would jump on our bikes and ride around town to find the best puddles to ride through. Fun times and memories.
What a cutie that Brooklyn is. Love those random thoughts of a child.
Have a great weekend. We are boxing it up and taking loads of stuff to d.i and storage. Actually should be doing that now, but I took an extra long break.
i should jump in a puddle soon.
