the little things

Thursday's 'The Little Things' is a documentation of recent things or moments which have
moved, excited, stirred, beckoned, or inspired--
each pulling on my heart-strings in a special sort of way.

This is the third installment of 'The Little Things.'

Asher repeating Spanish to the TV while watching Dora
Brooklynn's surprise outfit combinations
morning writing sessions
old Dixie Chick songs--they remind me of when Husband and I were friends in high school...
learning a song on my guitar
phone calls from my sisters
blog comments
bible study (tomorrow begins a new 7 week study!)
bedtime's peace and quiet
an evening cup of tea
thoughts of summer
a "date" with Husband this weekend
being closer and closer to a big, exciting move to the country
relateable song lyrics
cake and cupcake shows
people who aren't afraid to reach out

I was watching cupcake wars the other day and it reminded me of who... You! :) timmy says he wants to make our own wedding cake, so we better get practicing soon! I saw a cupcake on cupcake wars the cake was favored cinnamon vanilla.. now how yummy does that sound! And then maybe some type of buttercream frosting with some decorative raspberries! My favorite fruit:)

Ah...old Dixie Chicks songs, that takes me back. Put that together with thoughts of summer and I am in Heaven.

Yes, I love this series of comments, too. I can see it all in my mind's eye. I sure miss the kiddos. (And you and Nate, too, of course!)

Reading your gratitude lists have really helped my put things in perspective this week so thank you!

I had some suspicious bank activity and my heart was in my throat because im broke all the time anyway... it was going to take a few days to be sorted and i was shaking.. fear, uncertainty, wondering how the hell! and then i saw on the news about a little 3 year old with swine flu who had died and they were interviewing the parents and showing pictures and i cried and i cried, i then thought of your gratitude lists and realised.. its only money and if i dont get it back i can chalk it up to experience.

So you helped! And inspired :)

(the bank is protecting me, i got it covered) :p

oh such sweet things! i enjoyed a cup of evening tea just the other night and it was the perfect way to end the day!

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.” ― Ray Bradbury
