a weekend recipe project
I need to turn this:
into this:
and the rest of this business:
into this:
and its needed to be done for far too long.
There are two recipe templates that I'm using that I found through House of 3.
I downloaded the template,
made them the size that I needed and chose my own colors
of cardstock. And, if I ever need any more, I don't have to worry about not finding the same cards!
Hooray for downloads!
I also cut the dividers out of chip board and stamped on the words appetizers, breads and so on.
It's a very fun project if you are in need of recipe collection rehab.
Are you working on any projects this weekend?
xo, Cassie

OH I love that download!!! Looks awesome!!! What a great thing to accomplish this weekend! You'll have to blog and share your favorites as your going through them!
And I just have to say once again how much I LOVE your perfect, unique, exquistely beautifully handwriting! When you do publish a book (especially a Memoir) you need to have the font created from your own writing!
Erin--I will definitely keep a recipe post in mind...I do have my favorites, and it would be fun to share!
Also, I love your idea to use my own handwriting on my book cover...I love that idea, and never thought about it! xx
Sooo cool!! I love those pictures and I feel more organized just looking at them. And I agree with the first comment: your handwriting is gorgeous :)
oh i love that idea, I have a big pile of torn out recipes from magazines and recipes written on bits of receipts just stuffed in between the books on my book shelf! I can never find what I'm after!
My project this weekend is reading, I have a book that I just can't put down. Another Jodi Picault - Picture Perfect.
By the way, those comments about your handwriting have just reminded me... I love your handwritten font for your headers, I can't figure out how to change mine, is it HTML code?
Now that looks like a huge project! You are so ambitious!
I actually love organizing projects....you just feel like you accomplished so much when you are finished! Hope it is going well!
I just reorganized my recipes a few weeks ago. Plastic sheet protectors and dividers. It was tedious but SO worth it once done. Good luck getting everything done!! :)
Ladies-thanks for your comments, compliments and your encouragement. This task could take forever...!
Shelly-I'm on the lookout for a cute binder to store recipes that I don't want to re-write but would be better kept in sheet protectors. I think I may just have 3-4 different kinds of recipe holders, but that's okay!
You are so clever!
can sanity be considered a project?
good luck--what a worthy cause. though, i must say my favorite recipes are the ones that are smeared and stained and clearly loved!
What a great idea! I so need recipe rehab! I wish I was there so we could do it together! Love you!
This is making me want to get in and organize my filing cabinet! It's been a long time coming.
Lovely blog!
Caroline
I love this! I should do something like this myself. Looks so organized.
Oh that is the cutest recipe holder ever! The rainbow cards are on the same lines as my rainbow quilt I just posted about. We're definitely on the same wavelength sis! I've been thinking about you. I need to call you (or you call me when you get a minute!)
xoxo
