Time to Re-think
FRIENDS,
Waking up at 4am is NOT the answer to finding a balance in my writing/motherhood/lack-of-time delimma. Even when my hubby was hustling about for his second-day-in-a-row fishing adventure at 4am this morning, my body refused to budge. I gave a split-second thought to the possibility of what I could do with three free hours before the babies woke, but in just another split-second I was fast asleep. Owning the most comfortable bed (that Nate and I still can't believe we have to ourselves) probably has plenty to do with it. So, today I will consider a new game plan. Thank you for lending me your thoughts on my writing/motherhood/lack-of-time dilemma. Your encouragement and ideas are great and I can't wait to try them out!
Happy Wednesday!

Well Cass, your last post made me want to be up at 4am writing with you. Then.....reality set in and I realized I can't do that with my late night working schedule and that bummed me out. I too am searching for home to explore all the areas of my creativity (without interruptions that is.)
I want you to know that many times when I am overwhelm with this adjusting time in my life and I am consumed by work, kiddos, and more work thinking I have completely left my deep solitude loving soul behind... I read your blog and I remember....it's still there.....I can still find a place in my life for that special joy. Thank you. I am forever grateful & inspired.
Love you girl.
um..... I meant searching for TIME not HOME! Sorry! It's so late!
Hi Cassie. Thanks for visiting my blog and your lovely comments. It's always a pleasure to have someone new drop in. I was just reading your last post. Sleep is my favourite thing on this earth. Sad but true. I have bought 2 new beds in 2 years and still looking for the right one. Glad you found yours! Julie
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. So lovely to meet you. You have such a lovely writing style and cannot wait to read more. x
Hey Cassie,
I was impressed that you were gung-ho to get up at 4am. I think you just have to remind yourself that this is just a season of life. Having kids makes us short on time; short on time for our own activities, as well as... well everything. I am chronically late where ever we go.
I do want to say that I am not an early bird. I do take advantage of the evening hours to do the things I enjoy. Some nights I am too tired and crawl in bed right after the kids doze off.
Just remember that being a mother is the highest of all callings.
