give thanks-a fabric banner
Last weekend,
my friend, Erin, from CreativeLeigh Me,
came over to show me a thing or two about "fabric banners."
She is the fabric banner queen! She has even made an interchangeable banner for different occasions,
and has sweet little accents like hearts ready to be thrown in the mix.

Boy, was it fun!
Lots of cutting!
I decided to outline the acorn and the leaves to help them "pop."
I refrained on the letters,
because it would have taken entirely too long,
and used crimping sheers to help the fabric not fray.
Then up she went!...a few days later.
After a moment, I realized something was missing--
Do you see it?
My new favorite owl.
He is quite cute, right?
And he helps spruce up my boring mantle.
This craft was involved, but relatively easy,
and has so many possibilities!
Have you done any fun crafts lately?

YEA! It turned out so very cute! You can see all the letters and the little leaf and acorn made it symmetrical! It looks great Cassie!
Gorgeous! Great job!! Lovin' the owl too, of course. =)
Thanks! Erin it was so fun and I can't wait to make a birthday one.

So cute Cass! It looks great up on your mantle. Love the owl too. Seems like a fun project to make. Good job!
I love making banners, I made 100 metres of the things for my wedding and do a lot for other peoples weddings, christenings and things. So much fun to do and as you said, endless possibilities!
Yours is lovely!
Ambs--I bet I see a fabric banner in your future, no?
Princess- Like I already mentioned to you personally--100 meters of banner is serious. I'd love to see it! I bet it was fabulous!
Beautiful!!! I am currently working on a paper one....wow, a fabric one would be awesome! Looks like I need to learn to cut and sew!
